How We Serve

When asked what the greatest commandment is, Jesus answered with two: “You must love the Lord your God” and “You must love your neighbor as you love yourself” (Matthew 22:34-40).

Following Jesus's call, founder of the early Methodist movement John Wesley taught us to grow in our faith by “doing good of every possible sort, and, as far as possible, to all” (General Rules).

Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.

Following God’s Call

We believe God has a purpose and plan for every life. Our goal is surround every visitor and member in love. Our goal is to develop principled, visionary and effective leaders to help United Methodists grow in faith and in sharing God’s love with others. The church is focused on inviting and preparing people to become clergy and lead the church in world-transforming ministry.

The early Methodist movement grew through the efforts of laity who led small groups, taught Bible study and provided outreach ministry. Developing strong lay leaders is another important component of creating a church engaged in the work of making disciples.

Growing & Practicing Our Faith

United Methodists help one another grow as disciples of Jesus Christ.

John Wesley, historic founder of the Methodist movement, succinctly described the plan of discipleship in what he called The General Rules. As Christians, we are to (1) do no harm by avoiding evil of every kind; (2) do good to all people; and (3) attend upon all the ordinances of God like participating in worship, taking Communion, reading the Bible, praying, and more.
